A substantial amount of research has found that creating a narrative about your loss can help process the loss and help you work through some of the emotions that accompany that loss. There is also evidence to suggest that it is healthy to find ways to integrate your loss into your everyday life, which can be accomplished in part by processing the loss through storytelling. More research encourages us to face the loss. Writing out your story can help you do that on your own terms and in your own time. ____________________
