A Good Soldier of Christ Jesus

“You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus,  and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus."

2 Timothy 2 : 1-3

Perrin's Park was dedicated on June 7, 2014. What a blessing to see families grow closer together through play.

Come enjoy the park any day from dawn until dusk at 8505 Pelham Rd, Greenville, South Carolina, 29615.

Mission

Perrin's Park & Grove of Grace exist as an outgrowth of love for family, for community, and for God. The mission of this project is twofold: to enrich family togetherness through play and to share the light of Christ to those facing their darkest times.

Goals

The primary goal of the park is to minister to families. Perrin's Park serves as community outreach to surrounding families, a memorial to beautiful children now in the arms of God, and a gathering place for church fellowship. We believe this ministry will grow as we refine the park through future expansion and as we build an online grieving resource center.

About

Cornerstone Baptist Church of Greenville, SC is committed to Perrin’s Park as an integral part of its facility to enhance its ministry to young people of all ages – from infants through teens – along with their friends and family. Dedicated in 2014, Perrin’s Park is a graduated outdoor recreational facility integrated with beautiful landscaping and nature trails. It begins with an infant and toddler section complete with playground items that were particular favorites of Perrin. Follow the stroller-friendly trail to the next playground designed specifically for 5- to 12-year-olds. Travel further down the paths to find a fire pit and recreational area for Jr. and Sr. High young people. Whether swinging on the play ground or just taking a leisurely walk, old and young alike will enjoy God’s beautiful creation together.

Fulfilling the vision for Perrin’s Park has been a labor of love from so many talented members of Cornerstone Baptist Church along with friends and loved ones of the Stanleys. It has also been the result of sacrificial giving from many. Your financial support will help keep playground equipment and grounds in tip-top shape as well as help us expand this uniquely beautiful park.

MEET PERRIN

This park is in memory of Perrin Timothy Stanley—son of Jared and Heather—a beloved, bright-eyed, beautiful boy. With his infectious smile and sweet spirit, he brought so much joy to the lives of so many during his brief life. On October 20, 2012, one day short of turning 14 months old, Perrin unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord. Perrin loved playing outdoors, and he especially loved all the bright colors of God’s creations. Just imagine the joy, glory, and brightness he is experiencing in Heaven! Perrin’s body was laid to rest at Greenville Memorial Gardens in South Carolina.

01.
Favorite Color

Red • As much as we encouraged green, he wanted to touch anything that was red.

02.
Favorite FOOD

Hard to say... He loved food and would happily hum while eating whatever was on the menu...
He loved to eat fruit.

03.
Favorite PLACES

Nature and the park. Every Thursday night we would picnic and play at a local park.

04.
Favorite TOY

At only fourteen months old, Perrin’s vocabulary was limited, but he loved to play with trains and “choo-choo” his way around.
